The 28 miles of beaches are divided into 13 different communities,. Each community along the Tampa Bay Gulf Coast has its own unique character, and is a city with its own mayor and governing body. For visitor information, all the beaches except Clearwater Beach are encompassed in the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce. They have local offices in most of the beach communities. Clearwater Beach has its own Chamber of Commerce.
There are great Restaurants in all the beach communities.
The local restaurants are famous for the fresh caught grouper and stone crab. More fresh grouper is brought into the Madeira Beach area than any place in the state. Stone crab season runs from mid October to mid May. During this time it is reasonably priced and quite plentiful. Of course if your taste is for something other than seafood, you won't have any trouble finding a wonderful meal either.
